GEON RIVER LLC has established its wood-working shop in 2016 to satisfy the demand in pallets and packaging timber of Ukrainian local food producers. Equipped with innovative pallet-nailing machines, we managed to provide the products of the best price-quality ratio in the region and gradually gained trust in ourselves as well as from our business partners.

A strong wind from the Far East filled our sails in 2017 when we set up partnerships with major construction and pallet-production companies in China and Taiwan. We invested in a a highly-productive log-sawing line that allowed us to produce 100 cbm of sawn timber every day. We could not help noticing that ramping up our production inevitably led to an overwhelming amount of wooden off-cuts and heaps of sawdust in our yard.

This is when we realized that it was time for us to become a producer of biofuel. We purchased five RUF-presses, and later in 2018 following a demand of our customers in pellets we installed a Salmatec pellet production line.

When COVID hit the planet and international travel was impeded, we applied for EN+ A1 certification for our pallets. As inspectors later confessed, we were the first company in the world to pass the inspection online and get the certificate done remotely.

In February 2022 the war in Ukraine broke out and the city of Chernihiv suffered heavy shelling. Our workshop was also damaged by a dozen of missiles. We dug out what could be salvaged and repaired from under the rubbles and came back into operation - strong, stoic and ambitious, as never before.

We hold a 100% FSC certificate and our wood products come from sustainably managed forestries and renewable sources.

Our pellets are manufactured from 100% pine and packed under our EN+ A1 number (UA-025 ).
